One person has died after a light aircraft crashed into a tree in a Suffolk village.
Suffolk Police said the aircraft came down in Aldham, near Hadleigh, at around 11.20am.
After colliding with the tree, the plane became submerged in a pond.
It is not yet known whether there are any further casualties.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Woodbridge, Hadleigh, Needham Market, Bury St Edmunds and Halstead, Essex, were called to the village, around eight miles from Ipswich.
Police and ambulance crews and a water rescue team were also sent to the scene.
An area around the crash site was cordoned off and the Air Accidents Investigation Branch were alerted.
