Two cricket players are to be charged by the ECB with match-fixing offences in relation to a county game, it is understood.
Sky sources confirmed Lou Vincent and his former Sussex teammate Naved Arif will be charged with fixing the outcome of a county match.
The alleged offences occurred in a 40-over match between Sussex and Kent at Hove in August 2011.
The pair, neither of whom still play in England, face lifetime worldwide bans if the charges are proven.
Lou Vincent is already under investigation by the International Cricket Council for alleged match-fixing but this would be an England & Wales Cricket Board charge and the first case of an ECB match being fixed.
According to the Daily Telegraph, a total of more than £12m was gambled on the match through one website alone, the highest total for any match of its kind in the past three years.
The betting patterns drew suspicion at the time but were cleared by the ICC's anti-corruption unit.
There is no suggestion that any other player from either Sussex or Kent was involved.
